We are looking for a solution to provide an S3 gateway service to files on EOS. In the past MinIO was the recommended solution for this. But more than a year ago the gateway functionality of MinIO has been removed from the current releases, and the older releases with that function are not maintained any more.
Is anybody using successfully a different solution for this gateway functionality? The only software that we identified in doing just that seems to be s3proxy, but this looks like a one-man project with uncertain future.
Is the CERN EOS development team considering the development of a new S3 interface to EOS in the long term?
