Permission denied in eos home directory

Hi,

I have recently started having issues with accessing new directories I make in my home eos directory. For example:

(base) [jinglis@lxplus939 jinglis]$ mkdir testdir
(base) [jinglis@lxplus939 jinglis]$ cd testdir/
-bash: cd: testdir/: Permission denied

I can still access previous directories I have made. The permissions of newly-made directories seem to be the same as other directories I can access:

drwxr-xr-x. 2 jinglis zp 4096 Jul 26 15:11 testdir

I still have free space in my directory, so I find it strange that this has started happening this week. Perhaps I have accidentally deleted something, or done something which modifies my user ID?

I would be very grateful if someone can help me resolve this problem.

Many thanks,
James

Hi James,

I had the same and it looks like it’s a known issue: Outage - CERN Service Portal: easy access to services at CERN

Hi @grigoras,

Thank you for letting me know, I wasn’t aware of this! Thankfully it looks like it is getting resolved.

Thanks,
James

(should indeed be resolved since ~17:45. Please tell us if you still have issues - here or via ServiceNow)
